About Venice Regional Medical Center
Venice Regional Medical Center is a 312 bed regional healthcare system that provides a comprehensive array of healthcare services to the greater Venice area and beyond. Always striving to meet our area's growing healthcare needs, the system has steadily expanded to include a number of facilities offering fully integrated health services. In addition to an acute care hospital, Venice Regional Medical Center's healthcare network includes comprehensive cardiac services including open-heart surgery, an ambulatory care center, and a home health agency. Venice Regional Medical Center has been especially recognized for general surgery, the Top 100 cardiovascular program and its well-respected joint replacement program. In addition, our Medical Staff bylaws require that, in order to be on staff, physicians must be either Board-certified or eligible for Board certification.
The Hospital's reputation of providing compassionate health care dates back to 1951 when four Venice physicians and a local businessman worked to open the hospital's doors for the first time. Since then, it has grown and evolved right along with the region it serves.
